Harley Takagi Kaner is the co-creator, director, and sound designer for The Penumbra Podcast, as well as Head of Episode Development for Hyperion City Productions. They voice Sasha Wire, The Piranha, and the THEIA Operating System in the Juno Steel series, and Sister Tiilei in the Tales of the Second Citadel.

On September 26 2021, it was announced on the podcast feed that they were changing their name to Harley Takagi Kaner. Credits to the podcast were subsequently modified to reflect this change. [1]

Outside of the Penumbra Podcast, Harley is a dancer and actor who works in the Boston area as a solo performer/teacher, as well as with their award-winning burlesque / drag / performance art troupe.

In 2019, they aired Edges, a ten-episode nonfiction podcast in which they interviewed a series of guests about "queer love," including love received from friends and family members.
