Hyperion City Police Department is a local crime-fighting bureau. It is a notably corrupt organization.
History[]
Hyperion City's Police Department is the police department of Hyperion City on Mars. They are notable for being closely related to the organized crime in the area and for enforcing the rule that makes Hyperion an unequal place to live. Throughout the series, they vary from being barely helpful to becoming downright obtrusive.
At some point, police officers went to Sasha Wire's home to investigate a robbery, and ended up stealing more than was stolen in the first place.[1]
Captain Hijikata of the 151st precinct ran a profitable corruption gig where she would recieve payment to turn a blind eye to crimes being commited. She did this by putting corrupt cops on duty at the time of the crime, or by changing the schedule to have it done if it was on short notice. Juno Steel discovered this operation but lacked the evidence to back it up. He decided to forge evidence proving it, and was promptly fired. Rita followed him out of the job and set up his private detective business for him.
