Episode Summary[]
After having recieved the name "Dokana Group" from Lydia Hoffman in the previous episode, Juno and Rita investigate this new lead using "The Rita Special". This is a special move where Rita is bundled into a blanket cocoon for many days on end while Juno provides her with a steady stream of snacks. From this intense research, they discover that the Dokana Group has been looking into cutting edge research for them to buy. They were originally going to buy the control headset for the PrismaCrystal Chimes, but the creator refused, and a week after Nureyev stole them during the events of Juno Steel and the Vanishing Act (Part 1).
The next thing the Dokana Group were looking to take was "Grandpappy's Recipe", an experimental bio-regenerator that uses stem cell technology owned by the Rao family. Juno devised a plan to get hired as security to guard Grandpappy's Recipe in order to have a meeting with Nureyev. When he offers his services as a security guard to the Raos for free, however, they decline his offer. Melinda Rao seemed more accepting of Juno's offer, but Horace Rao, the patriarch of the family, was utterly against it. Their usual head of security, Skipper Rao, showed Juno the door (without ever showing his feet the floor).
Juno decides to break in anyway to try and meet with Nureyev. This goes successfully with the help of Rita, and Juno makes it to the greenhouse. Skipper was asked to go on guard that night by their mother Melinda, and complains loudly about the night shift. They do not spot Juno before they leave. Juno thinks he smells Nureyev's cologne amongst the flowers, but it just ends up being the source- Saraswatan Orchids, some of which have been cut. Rita warns Juno of there being another intruder entering the room, but before he can hide, Nureyev enters. They have a short spat where Nureyev tries to get Juno to leave him alone and Juno refuses to, before Nureyev sounds the alarm and gets Juno caught by the Raos. They speak to Juno over the intercom briefly, and have him arrested and put in prison on Tyr. Juno devises a plan to escape prison by clearing his name- leaving the sleuthing for this case all to Rita.
