This is an alphabetised list of all known magical artifacts or devices in Tales of the Second Citadel.

Chrysalis Cloth[]

A cloth that can speed up time around it. was used by the Nymphs for one thousand years to speed up the growth of the Maneater Damsel, in order to have Sport every two weeks.[1] It was stolen by Porkus and Trotter on behalf of The Monster Senate in order to speed up the development of the fear bug.[2]

Clockwork Pigeon[]

A device that can send a message one way.[3] Used by Sir Tristan to send a message to The Second Citadel from Silvershore.[4]

Eastern Intstrument[]

An instrument originating from The Wayward East stored in the trophy room of the Second Citadel that, when played, lets you see alternate options that the Universe wants to see. [5]

Ostracon[]

A device given to each member of The Monster Senate that demonstrates their right to vote, and leads them to the next meeting place, which changes annually.[6]

Saint Aaron's Hammer[]

A hammer created by the Universe and given to monsterkind. It was used by Saint Aaron to create farmland for the First Citadel.[7] While he was imprisoned, it was used to slaughter monsters in the massacre on land. After his death, it remained with the Second Citadel. It was briefly used by Sir Absolon against The Kite, and then by Sir Caroline.[8] It was used to destroy the First Citadel by accident, and by Sir Marc to inadvertently destroy the Second Citadel.

Saint Damien's Spear[]

A harpoon with golden thread created by the Universe and given to monsterkind. It was used by Saint Damien to fish the Lake of Tranquility. While he was imprisoned, it was used to overfish the lakes and cause the massacre in the waves. After his death it went into the custody of the Monster Senate, who locked it up so there would never be another massacre in the waves again.

Saint Ferdinand's Slingshot[]

A slingshot created by the Universe and given to monsterkind. Also called the slingshot that seeds the skies. It was used by Saint Ferdinand to control the weather and help with farming in the First Citadel. While he was imprisoned, it was used in the massacre in the skies. When the people of the First Citadel were struggling after its destruction, the slingshot was used to end the drought and save the people. Saint Ferdinand tried to take it back to the fish princess' palace, but found it ruined. It stayed by his bones for thousands of years.[9]

The Soulkeeper[]

An artifact that can store up to six souls in it, allowing the person who wields it to use the powers of each soul. Used by Sir Galahad, in which he had the souls of a Cockatrice, a Tengu, a Thunderbird, a Devilbird, and a Geruda, saving a slot for Olala in order to gain immortality.[10]

Soundstones[]

Devices that are used to store and project sound. They are first mentioned when The Kite uses them to record the sound of him murdering one of his victims before sending it by pigeon to the queen every morning for 20 days.[11] They are also used by the Monster Senate as microphones, with proximity to the soundstone being important for sound projection accross the amphitheatre.[6] Recordings of music on soundstones are on sale in the Clocktower Market Square in Silvershore.[12]

Time-Stopping Watch[]

Used by Quanyii to help Caroline and Rilla in the spiral sage's court.[13]

Thoughtstream[]

A deck of magical cards that lets one sense the will of the Universe.[14]
