Mag was a thief who mentored Peter Nureyev during his formative years. His ultimate goal was to take down the oppressive Guardian Angel security system of New Kinshasa, the floating capital city of Brahma.
Early Life[]
Mag found Peter on the streets in Brahma as an orphan when he was very young. He recruited him to his cause by telling him a story about Peter's father, a brave man who Mag claimed had posed as a constable in order to get down to Brahma and pass the plans for the Guardian Angel System of New Kinshasa on to Mag. In the story, Peter's father was shot before he could enact his plan, and years later Mag found Peter on the streets and recognized the resemblance immediately.
Mag acted as a guardian and mentor to Peter and taught him how to be a thief. Mag was incredibly proud of Peter, often remarking on his creativity and quick-thinking. After the New Kinshasa job, Mag planned to retire and let Peter continue on his own.
History[]
During Mag and Peter's infiltration of the Guardian Angel Core,[1][2] Mag's plan to crash New Kinshasa into Brahma was fully revealed. Peter protested strongly, and the two had an argument in which it came out that Mag had lied about ever meeting Peter's father.
Mag defended his lies, claiming that the truth slowed down revolution and that all of it was in the interest of freedom and justice. Peter disagreed and drew a knife on Mag in an effort to stop the city from falling. Mag refused to fight Peter, and was stabbed to death as a result. He was left behind when Peter fled the scene after replacing the Reactor and saving the people who would have died as the city fell.
