Sister Tiilei is a sister of the Garden of Graves who raised Olala and gave her the Thoughtstream, which she previously used for divination.

Early Life

At some point in her life, Sister Tiilei discovered her connection to the cards and devoted her life to communicating with the Universe. She is the one who found the infant Olala in the dirt above her grave after she was reincarnated by a force unknown even to the spirit of the garden itself.

History

Sister Tiilei entertains Olala when she wakes up in the middle of the night. She uses her cards to divine Olala's place in the world and comes up with a card covered in bones, which was not in the deck a moment before. Tiilei assures Olala this just means she is to stay in the Garden of Graves, but she is worried.

The next day Sister Tiilei calls to meet with the Abbess, saying it is urgent. After the intruder attacks the garden, the other sisters send Tiilei to get Olala and bring her somewhere safe. The intruder keeps up with them, and Tiilei decides she must stay behind and fight while Olala runs. Olala will not go until Tiilei promises they will see each other again, so Tiilei makes the promise, and Olala runs off into the Wastes. Tiilei stands and fights. She is killed, but this allows Olala to get away.

Tiilei appears among the souls Olala calls to Sir Caroline's defense in her final battle with the Kite. She is the soul that finally shatters the Soulkeeper Amulet and leaves him at the mercy of all the souls of those he's killed.

A tad eccentric. Nocturnal. Compassionate.

Tiilei is gifted at the divination arts. Some would call her a witch. She is also capable of child-raising.
